Where imagination becomes reality
Founded in Modena in 1989, we began as a company specializing in the design and production of promotional products. Over the years, we have expanded our expertise and capabilities, also thanks to the collaboration of a highly qualified network of in-house and external partners, becoming a trusted reference in the creation of 3D characters and static model making.

Over time, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner for bespoke products, driven by steady growth and a set of core values that guide every decision we make:
- attentive listening and in-depth understanding of our clients’ needs
- continuous monitoring of market trends and developments
- commitment to the highest quality standards
- careful selection of suppliers
- precision and reliability in every delivery
We turn every idea into a concrete project
To ensure the highest quality standards of its products, LEONI S.p.A., already ISO 9001 certified for the trading and packaging of promotional items, works primarily with suppliers that meet the same rigorous standards. In addition, all products are manufactured in full compliance with REACH regulations and are tested by leading accredited laboratories to ensure adherence to all applicable standards.
In order to develop fully compliant products, all items produced by LEONI S.p.A. are tested and certified by leading certification bodies, ensuring that design, functionality, and raw materials fall within the limits established by both EU and non-EU regulations.
Product quality is further guaranteed through strict control of third-party suppliers’ production processes. This includes both in-process inspections carried out by authorised inspectors during production (DU-PRO), and final inspections verifying the condition of goods before shipment (Final Inspection).
Upon request, the shipping department can also track goods in real time, from factories in China through customs clearance in Italy and up to delivery at the designated warehouses.
How we work
For die-cast projects (metal and plastic models), the first stage of development involves surveying, taking photographs, and collecting measurements of the items to be reproduced.
For projects related to partwork publishing projects, promotional items, or premium products, original drawings and/or design boards are required. This development phase, largely managed in Italy, leads to the creation of prototypes and 3D designs, followed by mould making and the production of the first injection-moulded painted prototype.
When needed, the outcomes of each stage can be shared with the client and/or license holder for approval prior to the start of production.

Marco Polo Project
With the Marco Polo project, we have launched the development of a new, highly automated and flexible digital decoration and packaging line designed for the production of high-quality premiums. Our goal is twofold: to reduce production costs and to bring manufacturing back to Europe (Italy in particular) after years of production being concentrated in China.
Our objectives
The investment project supports LEONI S.p.A.’s new strategic vision, completing the development of the advanced MARCOPOLO automated production line, which is essential for relocating premium manufacturing from China to Italy.
The main objectives of the project are:
- increasing productivity and competitiveness
- improving flexibility and quality
- strengthening protection and prevention throughout the entire process
Results achieved
The implementation of new technologies has increased productivity and industrial process capacity, while also enhancing product quality. The project has delivered innovative results in terms of:
- process innovation
- reduced production times
- lower unit costs, improved value for money, and higher margins
- expansion and diversification of the product portfolio
This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, with a total contribution of €81,603.67.
